Although this summer has been a bit of a washout, getting outdoors and spending time in nature is still important for our health, and camping is as popular as ever. As long as you have the right ger to keep you warm and dry, such as this irish sweater for men, heating for your tent and of course waterproofs, there are lots of beautiful places to enjoy camping this summer in Ireland.
If you are looking for a place to spend your holiday and be close to nature, here are some of the places that you might want to consider…
Achill island, County Mayo – The largest island in Island you can get here easily from the mainland via a swing bridge. With beautiful beaches aplenty, this is a great place for a family camping trip, although of course the sea can be a little wild at times so be careful. However, it is a popular place for those who enjoy water sports like surfing thanks to the waves.
Caherdaniel, County Kerry – The beautiful ring of Kerry is a tourist hotspot and with good reason. If you are looking for stunning views and plenty of walks in the beautiful landscape, then this is the place for you. There are also lots of villages that you can explore in the area.
Dublin – If you are keen on being near Ireland’s capital and exploring the history, nightlife and entertainment, then camping at the nearby North beach caravan park is a great way to get the best of city life as well as enjoying camping. Near enough to explore Dublin but in a rural beachside location.
