Doctors in the past had prescribed a trip to the seaside as early as the 1700’s and it seems they might have been onto something.

People relax when they go to the beach, this is not rocket science, but the question is how much does impact their health? It seems that a seaside environment reduces stress and of course, encourages more physical exercise which might go some way into explaining why better report better health in coastal areas. Living along the coast will give you much more access to recreational activities which will also boost your mental health. When you live by the sea in a house, it is really important that you enjoy the full view through some Double Glazing in Cheltenham windows that you can buy from businesses like firmfix.co.uk in a 360 degree view from a light house or conservatory.  This will also help with longevity as the water vapour can erode a lot of materials but it won’t damage double glazing.  Things that were previously not available to you, suddenly could become weekend hobbies such as sailing, fishing, surfing or swimming.

Fresh fish tastes amazing and who can argue that fresh produce from your local waters isn’t going to make you feel better about being alive.

When you live in a busy town or city, it’s easy to spend most of your time indoors. Living by the sea will get you outside more, absorbing all that wonderful vitamin D from the sunshine.
